Bohai Sea's first 100 billion cubic meter large gas field 10,000-ton oil and gas platform completes offshore installation

Since the upper module of the platform weighs more than 12,000 tons, which exceeds the limit of the floating crane lifting capacity of offshore ships, its offshore installation is carried out using the "floating overtop" method, that is, using the natural force of tides , the upper block is precisely installed onto the jacket in a manner similar to a weightlifter's "clean and jerk."

According to the general contracting project manager of COOEC Bozhong 19-6, on the rough sea, the main operation ship with a total length of nearly 200 meters was driven into the sea by only 10 centimeters on each side. The gap between the jacket legs is very difficult to operate. When the eight prongs are docked with the legs, the accuracy reaches millimeter level, which is comparable to the difficulty of docking a spacecraft with a space station. In addition, the operation area is located in a dense area of ​​oil and gas platforms, with complex seabed environment and high requirements for construction technology.

To this end, the operation team organized multiple rounds of technical briefings and risk analysis before the operation, and rehearsed processes such as mooring arrangement, motion monitoring, load transfer, and precise positioning. At the same time, on-site construction route surveys were carried out, the anchor position and anchor chain direction were accurately calculated and designed, and buoys were hung across the pipelines to avoid scratches. During the floatover process, the separation buffer device and the pile leg docking coupling device were installed to effectively slow down the collision between the barge and the jacket during the block load transfer, ensuring the safe and smooth progress of the floatover operation. In the end, it took more than 10 hours to complete the floating operation, and the docking accuracy error did not exceed 5 mm.
